Jo's Simple, Fresh Garlic & Fresh Herb Air Fryer Croutons
Croutons are good (obviously). But homemade Fresh Garlic and Herb Air Fried Croutons are so, so, much better.
What I love about this recipe is that it’s the perfect way to use bread that is going stale in your kitchen, so it doesn’t have to go to waste! I make these croutons in my air fryer, and if you don’t have one of those yet, I highly recommend you invest in one… You can do so much with them, croutons are just the beginning… And if you don’t have an air fryer, you can modify this recipe and just broil the croutons in your oven at 400 degrees.
Step 1: Preheat Air Fryer to 390 degrees
Step 2: Take the old bread and cube it up
Step 3: Add some oil and season heartily
Step 4: Add one tablespoon of fresh garlic
Step 5: Add one tablespoon of fresh herbs of your choice — Sky’s the limit
Step 6: Carefully stir to coat the bread so that it is coated by the seasoned oil
Step 7: Cook for 5 to 7 minutes
Pro Tip: Keep a close eye on the croutons. They go from perfection to burnt in the blink of an eye!
Bonus Recipe:
I made a really simple Italian salad the other day and used my friend Gaby Dalkin’s Williams Sonoma Garlic Infused Olive Oil and ‘tastes like pizza’ seasoning! It was delish!!
